Departure to Sinaia, former royal city.

Visit: Sinaia Monastery was erected by the military commander Mihail Cantacuzino between 1690 - 1695. On the right wall, at the church entrance is a picture of Carol the 1st and Queen Elisabeth.
Peles Castle-the former royal house built between 1875-1883, is the most important attraction in Sinaia. After the World War 2 was transformed into a museum: the 160 rooms contain precious art and sculpture collections, many beautiful paintings, and furniture and fire guns.

Pelisor Castle was built between 1899-1902 by the Czech architect Karel Liman and decorated by Bernhard Ludwig from Vienna, the Pelisor belonged to the royal couple Ferdinand and Maria, since 1903. Pelisor castle contains a valuable collection of decorative art belonging to the Art- Nouveau style; works of artists like E. Galle, Daum Brothers, J. Hoffman, L.C. Tiffany, Gurschner etc. Among other rooms, there can be seen ‘The Golden Bedroom’, ’The Chapel, ’The Golden Room’ ,which, without a doubt, have a unique value.

Departure to Brasov, which was first mentioned in 1234 in Ninivensis Catalogue with the name of Corona. In the second part of the 14^th century is confirmed as the main town in
Tara Barsei. It was one of the economical and cultural centers of Transylvania.

Visit: The old fortress of Brasov is a fortified construction built in wood and stone, presently transformed into a very special restaurant.

The White Tower - in a circular form and The Black Tower in a square form were key -points in the defense chain of the Old City.

The Black Church (14^th - 15^th century) - the biggest construction in Gothic style in Romania, has the biggest organ in Europe. You can listen here for classic and pre classic music concerts (the concert for Christmas is already famous). In front of the Church there is the statue of the great German humanist Johannes Honterus.
The Town Hall-dates back in the 15^th century and dominates the Old City. Presently, it is the History Museum of Brasov County, divided in four sections: Archeology, Medieval, Modern and Contemporary history.

Depart to Bran where we will see Bran Castle was originally a fortress built by the
Knights of the Teutonic Order in the year 1212. It was known by the name of Dietrich stein at the time.
Later on, towards the end of the 13^th century, it was taken over by the Saxons in that region in order to protect the City of Brasov, an important trade center.
Vlad the Impeller used Bran Castle as headquarters for his incursions into Transylvania.

We depart to Rasnov and visit Rasnov Fortress, built on a calcareous rock, is located 15 km South west from Brasov. It is an old peasant fortress, unique for its style and position. Its first documentary attestation dates back from the year 1331. However, the historians are not very sure about the date it was built. Inside the fortress there is a well 143 m deep.

Departure to Poiana Brasov (Brasov Glade) and have lunch there.
We will take a trip to Postavarul Peak by Telegondola (cable car).
