Campina is a small city situated on the left side of Prahova River. In the 16th century here was the custom point on the way to Transylvania. 17th century found the city as a prosperous trade city in the Pre Carpathians Hills. In 1895 here is built the largest refinery in Europe.
Muzeul Satului (The Village Museum), lying in a wonderful Romanian setting, on the Herăstrău lake shore in Bucharest, is one of the biggest and the oldest outdoors museum in Europe. Its exhibits genuine monuments including houses, pens, churches, water and wind mills, cloth mills, of great historic and artistic value - acquaint the visitors in two hours with the specific of the Romanian traditional village. The objects inside the households - carpets, pottery, rugs, icons, furniture - point to the originality of the folk creation, the sensibility and care for the beauty of the rural people.

The National Palace of Bucharest – today host of the National Art Museum with famous Romanian Paintings and Sculptures. Romania artists section will be seen along with fabulous clerical exhibits (books, icons, crosses, official priest costumes and even iconostasis) which are the most valuable in the country.
