Bucharest Tour:
The first contact with Bucharest will be in the North part of the city, area with many beautiful mansions, wide boulevards, office buildings and parks.

Manuc’s Inn - built by the great merchant Manuc-bei in the first decade of the 19th century. Nowadays is one of the most important historical and architectural monuments in the Capital.

The Old Court is situated right in the center of the city. The construction started in the late 14th century, Vlad Impeller (also known as Dracula) being the first king to move the capital here, in the middle of a thick oak forest, on the banks of Dambovita. (the river of oak leaves)

Saint Anton Church is the oldest building in Bucharest, built at royal church in 1398, rebuilt several times during the history. It is situated in the old town, next to Dambovita River, at few yards of the ruins of the Old Court and across the street of the most famous inn of Bucharest, still in use: Manuc Inn.

Old town is on the left side of Dambovita in the center of the city. Narrow streets, stone and wood paved and in some places, old inns that today host hotels, restaurants and art gallery, volt basements in witch restaurants, clubs and bars, all of those in a quite small area.

Sinaia is the former royal city, where we will visit the Peles Castle, former residence of the king, nowadays became a museum, Sinaia's main point of attraction and one of the valuable architectonic monuments of Romania. It was built during 1875-1883; there can be recognized different architectonic styles, German Renaissance elements prevail and also Gothic style. The architects have used everything to give splendor and content to the construction, wood decoration is in abundance in the interior and also exterior to confer to the castle a special air. Situated in a beautiful park with gorgeous terraces, Peles Castle has 160 rooms and halls where there can be seen different ornamental objects, Oriental carpets, fine ivory sculptures, tapestries, furniture, weapon collections (15th - 19th centuries), and paintings. The most impressive rooms are: the hall of honor, the large weapon room (with objects from India, Persia, Turkey, Arabia), the council room (Swiss colored glass window, 16th - 17th centuries), the music room, the Florentine room, the mirror room, the Moorish room (with a collection inspired by the Spanish Alhambra Palace), the Turkish drawing-room, the theatre room.

Peles Castle was the summer residence of the Romanian Royal family. The works begun in 1873 on a private own land of the king Carol I. 300 workers where at the same time working at the castle. When it was built the castle was situated near to the north border of Romania. King Carol I asked those who where concerned because of its position if they think that the situation will last for ever. (in 1918 Transylvania was attached to Romania and the castle is now sitting in the middle of the country) A team of wood workers, iron workers, stone carvers, architects and engineers kept working until the king’s death in 1914. In that year the works ended.

Pelisor Castle Museum - built between 1899-1902 by the Czech architect Karel Liman and decorated by Bernhard Ludwig from Vienna, the Pelisor belonged to the royal couple Ferdinand and Maria, since 1903. Pelisor castle contains a valuable collection of decorative art belonging to the Art- Nouveau style; works of artists like E. Galle, Daum Brothers, J. Hoffman, L.C. Tiffany, Gurschner etc. Among other rooms, there can be seen ‘The Golden Bedroom’, ’The Chapel, ’The Golden Room’, which, without a doubt, have a unique value.

Lunch at Sinaia

Busteni is a small mountain resort at the foothills of Bucegi Mountains Busteni is the starting point of numerous trails in the mountains. The name: Busteni (Logs) came from the paper factory set here in the late 19th century.

Azuga is a small ski resort that hosts the most difficult ski slope in Romania (Sorica). The town has also a beer factory, a wine cellar and a glass factory.

Predeal is the town situated at the highest elevation in Romania (1160m) in Predeal pass, surrounded by mountains. Predeal was born in 1700 when some inns where built. In 1852 the custom point was moved from Breaza (60 km South) to Predeal. Since the Great Union in 1918 the city becomes an important mountain resort, today being one of main ski and mountain resorts in Romania.
