Ploiesti is the capital City of Prahova County, situated in the North part of Romanian Plane. It is one of the big cities in Romania and an important communication junction (roads and railways). In 1599 the town became a trade center for the both plane villages and towns and the North region of hills and mountains. In august 1870 there was an attempt to depose King Carol I by the inhabitants of Ploiesti lead by Major Candiano Popescu. In early 20th century important strikes hit the town, the most important being in 1933 when the oil workers protested against the economic decline. The surrounding area is very rich in oil, several oil refineries being in the near by Ploiesti. Heavy booming destroyed most of the city in 1944. Today Ploiesti has been totally reconstructed.
Sinaia is the former royal city, famous with its the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian kings. Nowadays the castle became a museum, Sinaia's main point of attraction and one of the most valuable architectonic monuments of Romania.

Transfer to Baile Homorod
Azuga is a small ski resort that hosts the most difficult ski slope in Romania (Sorica). The town has also a beer factory, a wine cellar and a glass factory.
Brasov is the South gate of Transylvania, a multilingual city, a place where Romanians, Germans and Hungarians live together. Brasov was for the first time mentioned in the historical chronics, in the early years of the 13th century.
Tusnad spa is the smallest town in Romania - 1800 inhabitants. It is situated in Olt River’s narrow path at 650 m. elevation. Famous for its mineral waters it is also the starting point for some hiking trails in Harghita Mountains.
Miercurea Ciuc is the capital City of Harghita County, a medium size city on the left banks of Olt River. The oldest traces of inhabitation date since the Bronze Age. In 15th century Miercurea Ciuc was a trade town becoming a “free town” in 16th century. Being the residence of a Seckely state it grew in importance but in 1661 is burnt by the Turks.
