Breakfast
Leave for Sighisoara, the best preserved living medieval citadel in Europe. Here you will see the very house where Prince Vlad the Impeller-Dracula was born, in 1431, which now is the restaurant "Casa Vlad Draculā
The Clock Tower first it was a gate tower with only two levels. Till 1556, at the first floor was the city hall. In 1894 the Tower was restored and were painted the two emblems and the inscription that reminds of the most important moments of the monument. In 1898 the Tower became a museum.
Church on the Hill is the most valuable architectural monument in Sighisoara. The construction of this church begins in 1345 and continuous, with interruptions, until 1525.The monument is also valuable because of the only known vault in Transylvania which contains tombs from 16th - 18th centuries.
The covered Stairway or The Pupils Stairway, was built in 1662 and had in the beginning 300 stairs. It was covered for the childrenās protection, on their way to school. After the works in 1849, there were left only 175 stairs.
Monastery Church is the first Dominican monastery was built in the 13th century and rebuilt between 1484-1515 in the hall church style. The Church had a lot to suffer, and what is now left of it, is a 1440 bronze baptism vase, a collection of oriental carpets from 13th century, the baroque shrine since 1680 and the organ that is still being used for many concerts.
You will have lunch in the very house in which Prince Vlad Dracula was born in 1431. In the restaurant "Casa Vlad Dracul", a fresco of his father, Vlad Dracul, is revealed under many layers of whitewash.
Leave for Sibiu
The oldest city fortifications seem to have existed in Sibiu (certified in 1366).
The fortress of Sibiu, because it was built mainly from brick, was named "the red city". The ruins of some fortresses of central type are still kept in Medias, Aiud, Cluj and in Brasov where the wall belt of the city has been started after 1400 but as the works went slowly, the fortification has been finished in the 16th century. But the most beautiful and the most expressive fortress from Transylvania has been kept almost entirely in Sighisoara.
Brukental Palace and The Blue House of Sibiu, built in Austrian Baroque style between 1778-1788, by the architect Martinell, it is a prestigious museum now.
